Panjab University Distance MBA: Panjab University offers a Distance MBA program approved by UGC-DEB and AICTE for working professionals and remote learners. The program is two years long and is divided into four semesters. Panjab University also provides specializations in the Distance MBA program in IT & Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Human Resource Management, as well as Entrepreneurship and General Management. Students are allowed to opt for two specializations during the third and fourth semesters of the program. Candidates should possess a graduation degree or an equivalent qualification, such as CA, ICWA, or AMIE, with the prescribed conditions.

The last date to complete the Panjab University Distance MBA Admission process is 27 August 2025. Candidates interested in securing admission must pass an entrance test and meet other eligibility criteria.  The deadline to submit the entrance test application and deposit the fee without a late fine was 17 July 2025. The entrance test was held on 27 July 2025, at centers in Chandigarh and Ludhiana. The result of the entrance test was declared on 7 August 2025.

After the announcement of results, candidates qualified for admission were asked to complete their admission form, including document submission and fee payment, between 25 to 27 August 2025, followed by counselling on 29 August 2025.

For other courses, the university is accepting online admission applications from 17 July 2025, with a final date of 15 September 2025. Students can apply online through the official CDOE admission portal. The admission is based on the university-conducted entrance test, and eligibility requires a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Below is the admission process for the Panjab University Distance MBA Admission:

Step 1: Candidates should have a valid bachelor’s degree with 50% marks or more to meet the minimum eligibility requirements for the MBA programme at Panjab University.  

Step 2: The application process is now complete. Candidates had to submit their forms, submit fee payments, and upload necessary documents by 17 July 2025 to the official website. The process began on 12 June 2025.  

Step 3: Candidates printed their admit cards after submission to be eligible to sit for the MBA entrance exam. The MBA admission test took place on 27 July 2025.  

Step 4: The results of the entrance examination were announced on 7 August 2025. All candidates who have passed are eligible to proceed.  

Step 5: During the counselling session, the candidates who passed were required to fill out the examination cum admission form to obtain their examination roll number.  

Step 6: Post-results, the scheduled counselling requires the candidates to be physically present. The candidates must also carry mandatory documents including Academic Bank of Credit (ABC) ID, DEB ID, original certificates, migration certificates (if applicable), Aadhaar card, and photographs.

Step 7: As the next step, all applicants must pay the fees online using the university’s official payment portal. The fee payable depends on the applicant’s category and area of residence.

Step 8: Candidates are officially enrolled in the Panjab University Distance MBA after the documents are verified and the fee is paid, completing the admission process.

Panjab University Distance MBA Eligibility Criteria

The Panjab University Distance MBA eligibility criteria are set by the university itself to ensure that candidates have a suitable academic background to pursue the program. Applicants with at least 50% marks in their UG degree are eligible to apply. A 5% mark relaxation is given to SC/ST/BC/PWD candidates, meaning they need only 45% marks to be eligible. 

Candidates with degrees in modern Indian languages like Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi (Gurmukhi script), or classical languages such as Sanskrit, Persian, or Arabic must have 50% marks, calculated by excluding certain optional papers. 

Candidates who have passed professional exams like Chartered Accountants, Cost Accountants, Company Secretaries, or have qualified in AMIE with relevant marks and experience (five years in research, teaching, or professional work) are also eligible.

Panjab University Distance MBA Fees

The Panjab University Distance MBA fees differ for each semester. Candidates also have to pay an application fee of INR 1059 and an MBA Entrance Test fee of INR 2710 (INR 1355 for SC/ST/PwD). Both of these fees are non-refundable and must be paid at the time of admission. They can pay the fees using any online payment mode like credit cards, debit cards, net banking, or via a Bank Draft in favor of the Registrar of Panjab University.
