National Sanskrit University Distance Education: The National Sanskrit University – Directorate of Distance Education (NSU-DDE) is one of the top universities located in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. The admission process for the 2025–26 academic session is expected to start in the 2nd week of May or the 1st week of June 2025 and continue through July 2025*. The application fee for both undergraduate and postgraduate costs INR 700 for both Indian and foreign students. The university offers very affordable tuition for candidates who want to pursue these distance courses from NSU, and the course fee for undergraduate students costs from INR 5000 to INR 12000 for both Indian and foreign students.

National Sanskrit University Distance Education Admission 2025-26:

The admission process for NSKTU CDOE 2025–26 will start in June 2025*. Interested candidates are advised to visit the official website nsktu.ac.in for the exact date and latest notification about the application form. 

The university offers a variety of undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma courses like Shastri Honours (Sahitya),  Shastri Honours (Vyakarana),  B.A. Honours (Sanskrit) Acharya (Sahitya), Acharya (Dharmasastra), etc. The duration of these courses can go up to 2 to 4 years, depending on the selected UG, PG, and diploma certificate courses. This university offers a very reasonable fee structure for both Indian and foreign students, and the cost of the courses can go up to INR 5000 to INR 12000 per annum, depending on the selected program. 

Candidates need to visit the official website of the university and fill out the application form of the 2025-26 session. Eligibility for Undergraduate  UG Programs

To apply for the undergraduate programs offered by NSKTU, such as Shastri Honours (Sahitya and Vyakarana) and B.A. Honours in Sanskrit, candidates must have passed the 12th (Intermediate) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board or institution. The candidate should have passed in any of the following: Prak-Shastri, Uttara Madhyama, Madhyama of Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, Upa Shastri etc.

Eligibility for PG Programs (Acharya)

For admission to the Acharya programs (which are equivalent to M.A. degrees) in specializations like Sahitya, Dharmasastra, Puranetihasa, and Phalita Jyotisha, applicants must have completed a Shastri degree or any equivalent undergraduate degree with Sanskrit as one of the main subjects. The degree should be gained from a recognized university or equivalent institution. 

Eligibility for PG Diploma in Yoga Vijnana

The PG Diploma in Yoga Vijnana is open to candidates who have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university. There is no specific requirement for Sanskrit knowledge for this course, but having a background in Indian philosophy, yoga, or Ayurveda may be helpful. The duration of course is 2 years, consisting of 4 semesters.

National Sanskrit University Distance Education UG Courses

The National Sanskrit University of Distance Education provides a wide range of undergraduate courses, which are called Shastri or Shastri honors in Sanskrit. Honors courses take 4 years to complete, whereas the regular Shastri course takes 3 years. These courses are designed to provide deep knowledge of Sanskrit and Sahitya for candidates seeking a professional degree in Indian traditions.

National Sanskrit University (NSKTU) Distance Education 2025 Application Form

The application form for admission to National Sanskrit University of Distance Education (NSKTU-CDOE) for the 2025–26 session is expected to be available from July 2025* on the official website www.nsktu.ac.in.
