The last date submit the application form for IGNOU UG Admission 2025 is 30 June 2025*. Admissions to the UG courses are merit-based, and entrance for specific courses such as  B.Ed. and IGNOU OPENNET. The application fee for the UG courses is INR 300 – INR 850. 

The IGNOU offers a variety of UG courses across various fields like History, Political Science, Hindi, Economics, and more. Some of the popular Undergraduate courses are BA, BCom, BSc, BCA, BBA, BSW, BLIS, BTTM, BTS, BJMC, and more. The average duration of these courses is 3 years. IGNOU offers a variety of postgraduate programs like MA, M.Com, M.Sc, MBA, MSW, MLIS, MTTM, MCA, and more. It offers a wide range of specializations that include Arts, Science, Commerce, Management, Social Work, and more. The average duration of all these PG courses is 2 years.

Most PG courses at IGNOU follow a merit-based admission process, but specific programs like MBA and MCA require applicants to qualify through entrance exams. Candidates applying for an MBA and MCA must pass the exam OPENMAT.

Interested candidates must have a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks from a recognized university. The average tuition fees range from INR 12,600 to INR 37,800 per year, depending on the program.

IGNOU PhD Admission 2025

Admission to IGNOU’s PhD programs is based on an entrance examination conducted by the university, the UGC NET. The minimum duration of the PhD program is three years, and the maximum is six years.
