SRM Distance Education Admission: Last Date, Courses & Fees

SRM Distance Education: The University has released admission forms of distance courses like BA, BCom, BSc, MA, MCom, MSc, MBA, MCA and more for the academic year 2025-26. Students can easily access the application form through the official admission portal of the University and applicants can apply for admission till 31 August 2025. The course fees are between the ranges of INR 70,000 and INR 90,000. Interested students can enrol in these courses—after checking if they meet the eligibility criteria—by paying an application fee in the range of INR 500-700.

Candidates must have a graduate degree with 50% marks for the general category and 45% marks for the SC/ST category. For some distance courses, the candidates must have completed their graduation with specific subjects from a recognized institution.

SRM Distance Education Admission 2025

Admission process for SRM distance education is already going on for the 2025-26 session and the last date for online application is 31 August 2025. Interested students can complete the admission form on the official SRM distance education website – srmistdistanceeducation. Students need to have a graduation degree with 50% marks for general category students and 45% marks for SC/ST category students to be eligible for the distance learning programs. 

The eligible candidates must fill out the application form by entering the necessary details and providing scanned copies of documents. Then they can submit their application by paying a fee of INR 500/- (nonrefundable).

The university offers only two courses in distance learning mode: MBA and MCA. Interested candidates need to have a graduate degree for admission to the MBA program, and for MCA, they are required to have math or statistics as one of their subjects in graduation.

Students looking for admission to regular UG courses like B.A, B.Arch, and B.Com are required to have a class 12th certificate in a relevant subject based on the course they are applying for. For PG programs like M.A, M.Com, M.D and M.Sc, a bachelor’s degree is a must in a relevant field.

SRM Distance Education UG Admission

Candidates looking for admission in these subjects must have a Class 12th certificate in relevant subjects. For admission to B.Tech programs, candidates must also give the SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (SRMJEEE). The course fees for these UG programs vary between INR 70,000 and INR 2,50,000.

SRM Distance Education PG Admission

SRM offers a variety of PG programs such as MA, MCom, MSc and MArch. Of all the PG programs SRM offers, only MBA and MCA are available in ODL mode. The eligibility criteria for admission in these subjects are a bachelor’s degree, with some degrees requiring a specific subject to meet eligibility. The course fees for these programs are between INR 75,000 and INR 7,00,000.

SRM Distance Education Application Form

The application form for the SRM ODL programs is available on their official website—srmistdistanceeducation. The candidates must register themselves at the website first and then proceed to the admission form, where they will be required to give their basic details. To upload documents like Aadhaar card and high school certificate, the scanned copies should be less than 200 kb, and the photograph image should be between 50 and 100 kb. Then the candidates can submit their application by paying a fees of INR 500/- (nonrefundable) through online mode.

After document verification, students will be required to pay the tuition fees soon after. The candidates are advised to keep their payment receipt and application form with them for future use.
