Tamil University Distance Education: Tamil University was started in 1981 by the Tamil Nadu government to help people study and learn more about the Tamil language, its literature, and culture. The university has been accredited with a B++ grade by NAAC and is also approved by the UGC(University Grants Commission). The university started its Distance Education section in 2005 to help more students flexibly learn from home. The application form started in March 2025, and the deadline for the form will be August 2025*.

The Tamil University offers a wide range of postgraduate courses for distance learning education, such as M.A., M.Sc., M.Com, MEd.
